General Description
Principle Power Inc. (PPI) is looking to fill a full-time position for a Senior Asset Integrity Engineer in one of our European offices. The open position is set to be in the Technology Group of the company with a close connection to our Operations & Maintenance group. The Technology Group is a senior, dynamic and diverse environment with the primary goal to build new products and services, while also qualifying and maturing innovative designs for the future of the WindFloat product. This position will be a senior technical member of the organization focused on optimizing the operational performance, fabrication, and cost of the WindFloat® in future commercial-scale projects around the globe. This candidate will help lead our efforts in providing clients WindFloat health monitoring and asset integrity management services while also being a key contributor to company product design standards.
Main Accountabilities
- Development of standards and procedures for WindFloat Asset Integrity Management Systems
- Lead the growth of company Health Monitoring Service Offering to WindFarm owners: including technical and commercial maturation of new products and service offerings such as digital twins and environmental monitoring
- Lead or participate in the development of company product design standards for new products as part of Engineering Quality Management System
- Lead and participate in design risk assessments, HAZIDS, root cause analysis, and lessons learned workshops
- Produce technical documentation and presentations to internal clients, external parties, classification societies, suppliers and C-Level management
- Manage grant-funded internal projects in the Floating Wind O&M space
- Collect and analyze the return of experience in deployed units to drive technical improvement on next generations of designs
- Develop methods to monitor and track component health through condition monitoring, remote diagnostics, and onsite inspection
- Define and implement health monitoring and ALMS methodologies to aid in the transition from calendar-based inspection protocols to risk-based inspections and from corrective/preventive maintenance to condition-based maintenance for WindFloat assets
Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore wind or offshore O&G projects: including design, operations, inspection, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience developing company standards, including asset integrity management and logistics plans.
- Previous experience working for Offshore Wind Developer or Wind Turbine OEM a plus
- Experience should include RBI, integrity engineering, equipment inspection, design supervision, corrosion control, and risk assessment
- Proficiency with offshore operations simulation software is an advantage.
- Proven technical design skills in the field of offshore floating systems a plus; including naval architecture, mooring systems, corrosion management, structural design, mechanical equipment, and E&I systems.
- Familiarity and understanding of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Ownership of the technical solutions proposed.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven reporting skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of organization and with individuals from different disciplines.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Proven ability to work in multicultural and diverse environments
- Experience in offshore works a plus.
- Ability to work in a “self-directed” environment and consistently anticipate the needs within the organization and deliver on time
